Automated recording said to press 9 for more information on how to make sure I was not in credit trouble because their records indicated that I was going to be in credit trouble soon. There was no option to be taken off the call list. I pressed 9 and asked the young man who answered, to put me on their 'do not call' list, he laughed said, 'No', laughed again and hung up.

caller was a nice guy, but doing bad business. says he is a detective and if I do no pay he is coming to arrest me. i have contacted the company that he claims that I owe and they advised me not to speak to him at all and to report him and the company to local police; I tried to call the number back this morning and got no answer just straight to voicemail.

He is a con artist. Looking to buy 2 laptops. Pays for them with check on closed account. If he gets the laptops from you then he calls back, says they are GREAT and wants 2 more. His game is to see how far he can go before you discover the checks are bogus.
